Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) is a mild, sulfate-free anionic surfactant derived from renewable coconut fatty acids. Known as the “baby foam” surfactant, SCI produces a rich, luxurious lather while remaining exceptionally gentle on skin and hair. It is widely used in natural and premium cleansing formulations as a replacement for harsher sulfates.
This versatile powder surfactant offers excellent foaming, creamy texture, and superior skin feel, leaving the skin soft and conditioned after cleansing. It is ideal for both solid and liquid formats, including shampoos, facial cleansers, syndet bars, and body washes.
