Ethyl Ascorbic Acid is a next-generation, stabilized form of vitamin C that offers all the brightening, antioxidant, and collagen-boosting benefits of L-ascorbic acid—without the instability or rapid degradation. This highly effective derivative penetrates the skin easily and transforms into active vitamin C upon absorption, making it ideal for high-performance skincare formulations.

Ethyl ascorbic acid is most stable at a pH range between 5.0 – 6.5. 

It is recommended to dissolve 1 gram of ethyl ascorbic acid in 1g citric acid buffer (pH5.5) before adding to the water phase of your formulation. 

To prepare the citric acid buffer solution use the following formula:

*Citric Acid buffer (pH5.5) %w/w

Citric Acid ~ 1.0

Sodium Citrate ~ 15.0

Distilled Water ~ 85.00
