Formulation Advice

How to Use

• Recommended usage: 0.1–5.0%

• Fully dissolves in water and forms a light gel with mild thickening properties.

For best results:

• Gradually sprinkle hyaluronic acid into water while continuously mixing at high speed (using a hand mixer or vortex mixer).

•As it hydrates, the solution thickens into a thin gel.

•Once fully hydrated, do not add more hyaluronic acid, as excess powder will clump due to the lack of available water.

•To enhance solubility, heat the solution to a maximum of 60°C (140°F).

TIP: When added directly to the water portion of a formula, it can still clump.Therefore, it is advised to either disperse in glycerin before adding to the vessel, or incorporate into the formula using agitation or high shear mixing.

Medium molecular weight hyaluronic acid (MMW-HA) strikes a balance between LMW-HA and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HMW-HA). MMW-HA effectively hydrates the skin’s surface layers, providing immediate plumping and smoothing effects. It helps to retain moisture on the skin’s surface, creating a protective barrier against environmental stressors. MMW-HA is a versatile ingredient that enhances the skin’s texture, promotes a more even complexion, and reduces the appearance of roughness.

Hyaluronic Acid is produced by fermentation from glucose & yeast extract. It is a “natural moisturizer” that is non-GMO, ECOCERT, and COSMOS certified. It is suitable for different skin types, and climates. It forms a breathable film on the surface of the skin it locks in skin moisture, and protects the skin from external stressors. It has been widely used in cosmetics because of its high moisturizing power, excellent stability and safety.
