HydraWax™ Complex is a 100% natural-origin, COSMOS-approved (for COSMOS Natural) ingredient that expands formulation possibilities far beyond traditional waxes. Using advanced transesterification technology, three functionalized botanical waxes — jojoba, sunflower seed, and mimosa — are combined with polyglycerin-3 to create a multifunctional active wax with unique hydrating and stabilizing properties.

This technology enables the seamless integration of water-soluble actives into oil-based products, unlocking innovative concepts such as tinted lip balms with active botanicals, nourishing solid cleansers, or lotion bars enriched with humectants. At the same time, HydraWax™ Complex can be used in emulsion systems to improve texture, spreadability, and sensory appeal, making it ideal for creams, serums, and hybrid formats.

It forms a soft, smooth, soufflé-like film on the skin, reduces transepidermal water loss, and provides long-lasting comfort without tackiness — whether used in a rich balm, a lightweight cream, or a transformative solid-to-foam cleanser.
