Our frankincense extract is an infusion Boswellia Neglecta resins, extracted into golden, organic jojoba oil. Our resins are ethically sourced and sustainably harvested by the Samburu women’s collective in Kenya.

Boswellia Neglecta has a dark, masculine scent that is reminiscent of the earthy & musty scent of leather. The aroma has the warm balsamic scent of vanilla & amber, mixed in with a clean, refreshing scent of sweet camphor, and spicy, woody undertones.

Unlike other frankincense species that face threats of overharvesting and ecological strain, Boswellia neglecta offers a more sustainable and regenerative path forward in botanical sourcing. Native to the arid regions of Northern Kenya, this lesser-known species grows in abundance and naturally exudes its resin through fissures in the bark—requiring no tapping or scarring of the tree.
