The performance of this blend is pH dependent. The balanced combination of ingredients offers an effective multi-functionality for a wide range of cosmetic products. It brings skin conditioning, masking, pH regulating and antimicrobial activity in to the product. Dermosoft ECO 1388 is not particularly strong against yeast, We recommend the addition of Glyceryl Caprylate or Potassium Sorbate to offer yeast protection; add at 0.3% to protect against Yeast.

Formulation Advice

Solubility: water-soluble

Formulation: can be heated in the water phase for an emulsion or added in the cool down phase. Efficacy is PH dependent; the final formula must be below 5.

Recommended pH range: 4.0-5.5

Emulsions: 3.0–4.0% + co-active*

Surfactant based products: 2.0-4.0%

Aqueous based products: max 2.5%

*In emulsions, it is advised to combine with boosting actives for full antimicrobial protection of the product.
