Algin is an algae-based, natural rheology modifier that provides an enhanced feel on the skin, making it suitable for skin care formulas. In hair applications, it acts as a multifunctional styling fixative and rheology modifier, providing a natural hold and long-lasting curl definition, even in high humidity.

Formulation Advice
How to use: Sprinkle slowly into your water while using your stick blender, otherwise the mixture will clump up and may take days to combine.
- Cold/hot soluble, does not need to be heated to gel
- Reactive with calcium ions to form gel skins in Direct and Reverse Spherification
To create a skin care serum or hair gel using water, infusions, distillates, water-soluble extracts, etc., add Sodium Alginate and allow to hydrate for 30-60 minutes.
-Easily dispersible in room temperature water (allow 30 – 60 minutes for complete hydration)
-Compatible with a variety of emulsifiers and other skin care ingredients
