This low molecular weight does not gel like like the High Molecular weight hyaluronic acid and will not provide any thickening properties. It is used for its superior penetration and its ability to reach the deeper layers of the skin.

Although this molecular weight does not provide any gelling abilities, it can still clump when adding to your formula. Therefore, it is advised to either disperse in glycerin before adding to the vessel, or incorporate into the formula using agitation or high shear mixing.
